The brush-off
US Mower has added the RaZor skid-steer tree and brush shredder (Circle 908) to its lineup of attachment brush mowers. The RaZor is a high-quality flail mower fabricated for strength and high-impact tolerance from Domex steel. The four V-belt drive system is rated at 94 hp at 100% duty cycle. The heavy-duty 5/8-in. wall DOM cutter shaft with triple-blade design safely and easily cuts up to 6-in. of material.
The RaZor is available in three sizes: 48 in., 72 in. and 84 in. It is a tough machine built to tolerate the rigorous treatment brush mowers receive and last for years.

A cut above
Tiger Corp. now offers total control over tough vegetation. The Wetcut system is available as a tank mix or with a ready-to-use system from Aqumix. The Wetcut (Circle 906) single-switch computerized control system lets the operator apply herbicides as needed at a predetermined rate on the go.
The Wetcut system aims to save money and time, as it enables users to cut and spray in a single pass.
The Wetcut sprayer attachment can be added to a boom mower, side rotary or side flail mowing system.

Herb’s the word
Accord XRT II specialty herbicide (Circle 909), a new high-load, non-selective herbicide from Dow AgroSciences that provides vegetation managers with the latest innovation in glyphosate technology, has been accepted for use by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The advanced glyphosate formulation is easier to handle and gives applicators improved tankmixing capability—even in cool temperatures.
Accord XRT II, featuring a patented DMA salt, delivers proven, consistent broad-spectrum control of more than 100 annual and perennial weeds, plus woody plants in a formulation with lower viscosity. In addition, the low-odor, low-foam formulation contains a proprietary blend of surfactants that helps deliver superior performance on target species and reduces the chance for measuring and mixing errors.
Accord XRT II contains 5.4 lb of active ingredient per gallon, resulting in less handling and lower use rates so vegetation managers can treat more acres per gallon when compared to 4-lb active ingredient formulations.
Accord XRT II will be available in 2008 in Continuum Prescription Control & Container Management System-returnable, refillable containers that eliminate disposal issues and save applicators time.
