The 18-hp Terex TC20 Compact Crawler Excavator is designed with a top-mounted boom cylinder to provide maximum protection during operation. The boom on the TC20 is offset to the right in order to provide exceptional visibility for the operator.

A quick-couple bucket adapter makes it easy for bucket and attachment changes, and this unit is plumbed with an auxiliary hydraulic circuit with open (pressureless) retune to provide additional flexibility in adding attachments.

The TC20 has an operating weight of 4,455 lb with a maximum dig depth of 8 ft 2 in. and a maximum reach of 14 ft 4 in. It has a bucket capacity of 1.38-6.18 cu ft.

    Crushing the competition

The Eco-Crusher bucket attachment, distributed by Giberson Enterprises LLC, allows recycle, demolition and concrete contractors to significantly reduce hauling and tipping costs by crushing demolition material on-site. The jaw crusher bucket attachment fits easily onto any brand of excavator, quickly crushes concrete, bricks, blocks, basalt, aggregate and more-easily separates material from rebar, steel or copper pipe. The Eco-Crusher operates easily on small jobsites, scooping and crushing the material on-site. This reduces the number of truckloads needed to haul away the material and increases truck hauling capacity for jobs where removal of material is still needed.

The Eco-Crusher only requires one operator to run the excavator and bucket to scoop and crush the material, and it easily attaches and detaches from the excavator. For projects such as house moving or smaller demolition jobs, the attachment quickly and easily reduces foundations and other concrete material to use as on-site fill or sell as recycled aggregate material. On road-building projects, contractors can crush old concrete pavement to make better use of haul truck capacity. In aggregate operations, the jaw crusher bucket is ideal for general cleanup and crushing of small deposits along the face of the quarry.

    Know the drill

E-Z Drill’s Model 65B on-grade concrete drill (Circle 904) fits in a 2-ft patch, making it one of the most compact pneumatic drills on the market. Designed to replace electric hammer drills, the 65B provides greater accuracy in small working areas.

Operating on a minimum of 20 cfm, the machine drills holes from 1/2 - to 7/8 -in. in diameter and can be adjusted to center on slabs as thick as 2 ft. It can drill to 8 in. deep in a 2-ft patch and to a depth of 12 in. in a 30-in. area. The E-Z Drill 65B weighs just 65 lb, allowing it to be easily loaded, unloaded and repositioned by a single operator. An optional vertical conversion kit increases the unit’s versatility, allowing it to switch from horizontal to vertical drilling after a simple 20-minute installation.

Despite its compact size, the 65B maintains the quality features of E-Z Drill’s larger on-grade models. Operators can change between different brands and sizes of bits quickly and easily with the quick-release bit guide. For simpler maintenance, replaceable drill carriages can be rapidly switched with basic tools, and quick coupler air fittings have been designed for easy repair. An internal regulator monitors pressure from the air compressor, preventing pressure levels that could cause breakage.

    Jaw-dropping

Atlas Copco Construction Tools LLC introduces the CC 2500 to its line of Combi Cutter hydraulic demolition attachments. The new attachment offers faster jaw replacement, enhanced stability and shorter cycle times.

For optimum application versatility, both universal jaws and steel-cutting jaws are available for the CC 2500. Opening to a width of 34.6 in. the universal jaws are ideal for heavily reinforced concrete demolition, building demolition, secondary reduction and material separation. The steel-cutting jaws open 16.8 in. wide and are suited for steel-structure demolition, secondary reduction and material separation. Both jaws deliver a maximum cutting force of 330 tons.

The CC 2500 features a single pin jaw retention design that improves tool visibility for the operator, decreases the total weight of the unit and drastically reduces the time required to switch between the different sets of cutting jaws. To further increase the convenience of on-site jaw replacement, the CC 2500 comes with a coupling and positioning system that keeps each set of jaws connected after they have been removed and facilitates refitting through a special guide system.
