 OUR LATEST POLL

Over the Labor Day weekend, President Barack Obama announced a strategy that would provide the transportation industry $50 billion. He also outlined plans for the next long-term bill. Was this just a pre-election ploy, or is the Administration finally serious about funding the road and bridge sector?

I think Obama is trying to retain as many Democratic seats in the House and Senate as possible. It was only a ploy.
I think Obama finally realizes that the key to revitalizing the economy is through a jobs bill that favors the transportation industry.
What does it matter? Congress is not going to pass the $50 billion, and the prospects for a long-term bill still appear to be dim.
