Wirtgen WR 2500 S

June 20, 2013

The long-standing Wirtgen WR 2500 S road reclaimer and soil stabilizer also can be used to make a foamed asphalt-stabilized base when equipped for foamed or expanded asphalt. Material size is controlled by using hydraulically adjustable, manganese-lined breaker bars that can be remotely adjusted by the machine operator to tighten or close down the area between the rotating cutter and the impact bars. In 2014, the WR 2500 S is being replaced by the new WR 250, which features a 7-ft 11-in. cutter.
