The 4800 is capable of paving bridge decks, flatwork, roads, side slopes and highways with minimal setup time and the type of flexibility that is not available with a slipform. Beyond that, the 4800 has been used for a variety of special applications, from gravel barge leveling to paving tank bottoms and dam faces. The machine length is standard at 36 ft and can be extended to 120 ft. The truss depth is 48 in. and the standard paving width is 32.5 ft. The operating weight of the 4800 is 10,473 lb.
