In Michigan’s Bay Region, the Michigan Department of Transportation has a unique project involving replacing two bridges at both the Flint River and the Birch Run Outlet, and building approximately 3,800 ft of new roadway. The new Flint River Bridge is 272 ft longer and 6 ft higher, while the bridge over the Birch Run Outlet is 15 ft longer and 7 ft higher than the existing bridges.
