Stow Construction Equipment of Carson, Calif., a division of Multiquip Inc., offers a new lightweight backpack vibrator that allows contractors to conveniently carry the unit around the jobsite without the inconvenience of dragging electrical cords that become tangled, increasing the risk of operator injury and damage to the equipment. The flex-shaft BP25H backpack vibrator is ideal for efficient work in medium- to high-slump concrete applications, including small pours, slabs, driveways, stem walls and footings. Powered by a 2.5-hp Honda gasoline engine, the BP25H weighs only 24 lb. Its ergonomic design features a swivel shaft connection, a quick disconnect knob for easy shaft removal and a built-in oil shut-off. The BP25H is CE-compliant and compatible with nearly Multiquip’s entire line of steel and rubber heads. The BP25H is offered with 11 heads—seven steel and four rubber—the latter of which are ideal for epoxy. These vibrator heads range in diameter from 7/8 to 2 3/4 in. with a maximum length of 17 3/4 in. Flexible shafts range from 2 to 21 ft long.
