The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) is aiming to modernize the planning, funding, and execution of Delaware's Capital Transportation Program by partnering with Aurigo Software.
Currently, DelDOT manages more than 1,750 bridges, and 300,000 signs, structures, and other assets. In addition, they provide rail, bus, and paratransit services throughout the state. According to the state's 2021-2026 transportation plan, the next five years are full of projects that will cost over $3 billion.
The new system DelDOT is utilizing will help create capital projects, prioritize them, and estimate the cost. The system will also automate the obligation and reimbursement process for federal funds, integrating with the Federal Highway Administration’s Financial Management Information System (FMIS).

Several other states have modernized their capital program such as Utah, Massachusetts, and Iowa.
