The Iowa Department of Transportation will have crews working on the highway a mile east of Interstate 35 between 580th Street and 600th Street from 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27. The highway will be closed while construction crews place bridge beams for a new frontage road, according to Jenny Hoskins with the Iowa DOT Jefferson construction office.

Construction crews will also close the same section of U.S. 30 for two additional nights from 9 a.m. March 4, to 5 a.m. March 5 and at 9 p.m. March 5 to 5 a.m. March 6, so beams can be placed over eastbound U.S. 30.
