Quieter power

Sept. 8, 2005
The latest engines from Yanmar America Corp., Buffalo Grove, Ill., replace and improve on Yanmar’s Clean & Silent TNE series and meet EPA Tier 2 requirements. The TNV-series engines (Circle 926) are liquid-cooled and diesel-powered for use in construction machinery, agricultural machinery, generators, pumps and more. The series includes small, indirect-injection models rated at 14.3, 21.9 and 25 hp and medium and large, direct-injection models rated from 30.2 to 83.5 hp. Quieter operation has been engineered into the TNV series.

Mechanical gear noise is minimized by the use of a smaller module for the valve timing and fuel injection pump in conjunction with improved tooth profiles.
