Ingersoll Rand has introduced the PAC Series of plate compactor attachments for carriers from 3,000 to 60,000 lb. These plate compactors are intended for work in foundations, seawalls, slopes, trenches and other confined spaces. In addition to compacting soil and other materials through direct contact, Ingersoll Rand PAC plate compactors have the vibrating force to drive sheet pile into the ground or pound signposts into granular soils.
Contractors achieve maximum production with an oversized eccentric that transmits powerful vibrations through the baseplate into the soil. The eccentric is driven by the plate compactor’s hydraulic motor. Isolators ensure that vibrations are transmitted to the soil, not the carrier boom.
Seven models are available in the Ingersoll Rand PAC Series, including side- and top-mount models. All plate compactors in the Ingersoll Rand PAC line have an operating pressure of 2,300 psi. and a maximum back pressure of 100 psi.
