The Board of Directors of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has elected Ronald DeFeo, chairman and CEO of Terex Corp., Westport, Conn., as chairman. He previously was first vice chairman and was elected to fill the chairman vacancy occurring with the resignation earlier this year of David Woods.
Charles Stamp, vice president Public Affairs Worldwide for Deere and Co., Moline, Ill., has been elected first vice chairman. He previously was second vice chairman.
Gerald Sheehan, group president of Caterpillar Inc., Peoria, Ill., has been elected to fill the office of second vice chairman.
The AEM officers with the association's board of directors set the operating policies and guidelines of the association in areas including product safety and technical support, equipment statistics, market trends data, government representation, international marketing services, trade shows, online strategic information services, education and training, and safety/educational materials.
