At the opening of ConExpo-Con/Agg 2002 today, Sakai unveiled the SV510DVC-1, the world's first track-driven vibratory soil compactor, according to the manufacturer.
The track drive gives the machine the necessary traction and gradability to climb steep slopes--up to 100%, or 45 degrees--while compacting. This feature is usefull for a wide variety of applications. The new machine enables contractors to compact applications quickly, without the need for a winch, machine and operator.
