Virginians appear to be split on the importance of transportation in the
region. In a poll conducted earlier this month, 59% of those who live in
northern Virginia said the state should make transportation a top priority.
However, statewide only 46% view mobility as a No. 1 concern.
Education (67%) was considered by most to be the top priority of Virginia,
followed by the job situation and protecting the environment.
Residents were asked to rank schools, jobs, the environment, transportation,
mental health and illegal immigration.
