Two new awards will be presented this year to recognize outstanding "project develop process" and "project management" innovations.

The FHWA will present these awards during the 2006 annual meeting of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Offices in Portland, Ore., in October.

The awards application is now available and nominations are being accepted electronically at www.fhwa.dot.gov/eihd/index.htm through June 23. Anyone may nominate a project, process or initiative for an award that used FHWA administered federal aid highway funding sources.
