Deliveries from Volvo Trucks were up by 31% during the second month of the year, with a total of 16,135 trucks being delivered compared with 12,314 vehicles for the same period in 2004.

Demand for heavy trucks continues to be strong on all the large markets and Volvo has a high-capacity utilization throughout the industrial system.

The total number of trucks delivered in Europe was 6,704, an increase of 12% compared with last year, with the UK and France registering increases of 57% and 78%, respectively.

On the North American market, the huge demand for trucks continues, with deliveries up by 63% to 5,018 vehicles.

In South America there was an increase of 10% to 995 trucks. Figures for the number of trucks delivered in Asia also were up by as much as 59% to a total of 3,022 vehicles.
