The aging and decaying state of wastewater systems is a global concern, specifically for large diameter wastewater pipelines. As the pipeline’s diameter grows, so does the price of its rehabilitation. The use of centrifugally cast geopolymer mortars, however, requires little to no excavation and minimal community disruptions at a lower cost. This flexible technique creates a new pipe within the existing pipe and is quickly becoming the preferred structural rehabilitation technology for large-diameter pipeline repairs.
