Secretary Buttigieg uses Ohio visit to emphasize law's impact

On Thursday, United States Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg traveled to Cleveland in order to highlight the importance and impact of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act for northeastern Ohio.

Secretary Buttigieg was joined by Ohio Representative Shontel Brown in the downtown area to tour a Greater Cleveland Regional Transportation Association transit hub. Buttigieg pointed out that billions of dollars are earmarked for use in Ohio, and will be used to address state bridges and highways that are in poor condition.

According to the White House, the bipartisan law will create jobs, repair roads and bridges, and reduce emissions in the Cleveland area and across the country.
