In our first two stories this edition, it’s clear states are stepping up in mission to build and rebuild critical infrastructure as Illinois begins an unprecedented six-year infrastructure plan and Arizona focuses on updating and expanding its highways and bridges. On the utilities and energy side: Digitalization is proving critical in grid performance and 5G could be the surprising answer to some industries’ sustainability goals. There are also the results of a new study on charging and EV adoption, a coming data center boom in Silicon Valley, and an interesting change in statistics surrounding traffic deaths. This issue has a little bit of everything, and we hope you enjoy it all.
