Bridge Conditions
According to the latest FHWA data, New Hampshire's overall bridge conditions are moderate. 8.6% of state bridges are considered to be in poor condition, 38.6% are in fair condition, and 52.8% are considered to be in good shape, ranking the state as 20th in the nation according to the American Road Transportation Builders Association's deficiency rank (which takes into account the District of Columbia, as well as Puerto Rico).
There are 2,514 bridges in the state, comprising 1,150,349 sq meters of overall bridge deck area.
