Summary
While the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021 (IIJA/BIL) provided historic levels of federal funding, America’s transportation industry has yet to fully embrace the benefits of digital transformation throughout an asset’s lifecycle and the power of reusing that data in the future. The role of digital technology in delivering transformative infrastructure projects is significant. Technology allows transportation agencies to meet rising demands, conquer workforce challenges, and realize cost savings.
