Speaker

Chris Brookes is the Michigan Department of Transportation’s (MDOT) Work Zone Delivery Engineer.  He’s been with the department for over 16 years. Chris is a technical member of the NCUTCD (National Committee on Uniform Traffic Control Devices) Temporary Traffic Control Committee and an active member of the American Traffic Safety Service Association (ATSSA), he holds a position on the Temporary Traffic Control Committee, and the Innovations Council at the national level and is on the Mi-ATSSA Chapter Board. Chris was the recipient of the ATSSA National Safety Award in 2017 and a recipient of the 2024 ARTBA Traffic Safety Industry Division Jake Landen Highway Safety Award. Chris is a proud father to two delightful boys, Ryan and Jack and a wonderful little girl Zoey. Chris has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Michigan State University, Go Green!
