The Alva Bridge, a 2,900-sq-ft two-lane bridge in Lee County, Fla., was part of a 15-year rehabilitation project. OGI’s riveted heavy-duty bridge deck was modified with a new L-shape bearing bar to accommodate the bridge’s wide-set supports, which kept the weight per square foot down and ensured it could carry an H-20 load.
