Epiroc becomes fully independent company
June 18, 2018—The shares of Epiroc AB, a leading productivity partner for the mining, infrastructure and natural resources industries, have started trading on Nasdaq Stockholm in Sweden. This marks the start of Epiroc as a fully independent company following its separation from the Atlas Copco Group. Atlas Copco announced in January 2017 that the Group would split into two companies in 2018: Atlas Copco, focusing on industrial customers, and Epiroc, focusing on mining, infrastructure and natural resources customers. In the U.S., Epiroc began operating as an independent business on Dec. 1, 2017. The Annual General Meeting of Atlas Copco AB decided on April 24, 2018, to distribute all shares of Epiroc AB to the shareholders of Atlas Copco AB.
Kubota Tractor Corp. acquires 318 acres of land in Ponder, Texas, for Kubota Ranch
June 11, 2018—Kubota Tractor Corp. today announced it has completed the purchase of nearly 318 acres of land in Ponder, Texas, in Denton County roughly 30 miles northwest of its North American headquarters location in Grapevine, Texas. The newly acquired property, Kubota Ranch, will strengthen the company’s roots in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth region and allow it to bring its dealers closer to its headquarters for previews of new Kubota products.
Gannett Fleming recognized as 2017 Employer of the Year by WTS South Florida Chapter
June 4, 2018—The WTS International South Florida Chapter honored Gannett Fleming as the 2017 Employer of the Year at its 2018 Annual Scholarship Awards Luncheon on May 30. The award recognizes Gannett Fleming’s commitment to creating equity and access for women in the transportation industry. The honor also acknowledges that the firm supports its female employees’ participation in professional organizations and provides the resources to continue their education and obtain credentials and advanced degrees.
DEWALT announces Procore Single Sign On integration
June 4, 2018—DEWALT and Procore, a leading provider of cloud-based applications for construction, announce their partnership to develop a Single Sign On (SSO) integration that allows authorized users to securely access the DEWALT WiFi app via their Procore login credentials. First announced at ENR FutureTech 2017, the DEWALT Jobsite WiFi system continues to expand to bring increased connectivity to the jobsite. For any of the more than 2.5 million Procore users that use the DEWALT Jobsite WiFi system for jobsite WiFi connectivity, the SSO integration will help manage multiple systems and reduce complexity on the site. A beta version of the DEWALT and Procore SSO integration will be available in August 2018.
