The National Local Technical Assistance Program Association (NLTAPA) has endorsed and will help build its members participation in the first-ever Intertraffic North America (INA), the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) announced on Wednesday. Intertraffic North America will be held Sept. 27-29 at the Baltimore, Md., Convention Center. The event is being organized by ARTBA and Amsterdam RAI.

NLTAPA has agreed to help assist ARTBA develop the conference program, promote the show with its member centers and to their local agency clients, and allow the association's logo to be used in all Intertraffic marketing, web and promotional materials. In return, ARTBA will provide NLTAPA with free advertising in the event program, a link on the official Intertraffic website, credit on all marketing materials and free use of conference room space for NLTAPA meetings held during the show.

NLTAPA was founded in 1990 with membership open to all the centers that are part of the Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) and the Tribal Technical Assistance Program (TTAP). The group's mission is "to serve as a mechanism to facilitate communication and coordination among the association members and other government, academic and private institutions and associations, with the overall goal of providing local government agencies with improved access to transportation technology to meet the demands placed on local roads, bridges, and public transportation."
