Greenhorne & O'Mara Inc., Greenbelt, Md., a firm which provides solutions in general civil and transportation engineering, has created a new position and named R. Wayne Willey, P.E., to assume the duties of chief operations officer. Willey, who was G&O's senior vice president, Mid-Atlantic Transportation Group, will lead the efforts to implement G&O's newly created Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
With over 30 year's experience in the transportation engineering industry, Willey serves on the board of directors of numerous industry organizations and professional societies.
"Wayne has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership and performance on the tactical and strategic aspects of operations. He also has been a very positive contributor to the activities of the G&O board of directors, as well as in our engineering industry," said John Healey, Ph.D, P.E., chairman, president and CEO of G&O.
