Work Zone Crash Leaves Four Dead

Minnesota State Patrol are still investigating the incident

Four people are dead after a five-vehicle crash in Minnesota on Wednesday. The crash occurred at 2:54 p.m. on U.S. Route 2 in Arrowhead Township, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report. 

Four vehicles were stopped in traffic due to construction when a semi-truck traveling at high speeds hit the stopped vehicles. All four occupants of one of the vehicles died from the crash. 

The driver of one vehicle walked away without injuries, however the passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the semi-truck had non-life-threatening injuries as well. 

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating why the semi-truck did not stop as it approached the work zone. 

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, Arrowhead Fire Department, Floodwood Police Department, Cloquet Ambulance, and Lifelink all assisted with this accident.
